WHEELIN' SPORTSMEN HUNTS

2017 WHEELIN' SPORTSMEN
WHITETAIL DEER HUNT

January 15th - 21st, 2017
The Spruce Run Chapter was proud to work in concert with the Hunterdon County Park Commission to host our
Tenth Annual Wheelin' Sportsman Whitetail Deer Hunt.

In addition to the many volunteers that make this event happen, the Spruce Run Chapter would like to thank a special company.

Game Butchers owned by John Person & Family has donated deer butchering services to our successful hunters every year since we started our Wheelin'Sportsmen/Wounded Warrior Hunts.

We were saddened to learn that John passed away in June, 2015 at the age of 78.

To honor John, his family, and Game Butchers,
The Spruce Run Chapter
Dedicated the 2016 Hunt to
John Person
1937-2015
Who's tireless contributions to our hunts have made them such a great success.

The Person Family was presented a plaque honoring John at our Orientation Meeting.

THE HUNT
Our 2017 Hunt starts with our Orientation Meeting on Sunday January 15, 2017.

This meeting is to inform everyone how the hunt works, and what the rules are to provide for a safe and productive hunt and to assign hunters to guides and blinds.

Hunters will be taken to their blinds as scheduled for the afternoons of Jan 19th, 20th, and 21st. We have found that our hunters have a less strenuous and more enjoyable hunt in the afternoons.

Following the hunt, the Chapter will host a dinner for all the participants.

Because of the location and the participation of the Hunterdon County Park personel,
we hope to have another successful event with several deer harvested.

Our Wheelin' Sportsman / Wounded Warrior Hunts have proven to be very successful and very beneficial to our volunteers and hunters. The hunts have limited amount of space, but we welcome all who would like to join us.

If you would like to participate in the hunt as a hunter or a voluteer, we would like to hear from you.
